모 중공업에서 용접사 자격 관리 담당자로써 용접품 가접 용접자에 대한 자격 인정 부분에 문의가 있습니다.
문의 내용 : AWS 코드에는 가접사에 대한 자격 인정을 요구하고 있지만 KEPIC or ASME 코드에서의
가접 작업자의 자격 인정 부분에 대한 내용은 찾지 못했습니다
(제 생각에는 가접 용접사도 용접사 분류에 넣으면 문제는 없겠지만 반대로 별개 분류라
판단이 될수도 있기 때문입니다)
이에 따라 ASEME 혹은 KEPIC 규격에 따른 가접 용접사 자격 인정 방법에 대해 알고 싶습니다
KEPIC MQ나 ASME IX 코드는 용접사 자격 인정에서 Tack Welder를 AWS 코드와 같이 구분하여 검정하도록 요구하지는 않습니다.
Tack Weld는 본 용접과 동일하게 간주를 하고 있으며, Groove 용접 또는 Fillet 용접중 해당되는 용접부 형상에 따라 용접사 자격 인증을 해야 합니다.
추가로 ASME Section III NB 코드에서 요구하고 있는 Tack Weld 관련 사항을 하기와 같습니다.
NB-4231.1 Tack Welds.
Tack welds used to secure alignment shall either be removed completely, when they have served their purpose, or their stopping and starting ends shall be properly prepared by grinding or other suitable means so that they may be satisfactorily incorporated into the final weld. Tack welds shall be made by qualified welders using qualified welding procedures. When tack welds are to become part of the finished weld, they shall be visually examined and defective tack welds shall be removed.

(b) Procedures, welders, and welding operators used to join permanent or temporary attachments to pressure parts and to make permanent or temporary tack welds used in such welding shall also meet the qualification requirements of this Article.
