As far as I know, the terminology of “EFSW” is come from some company (pipe supplier) standards as Electric Fusion Spiral Welding. Not covering the welding process.
The industry standard, API 5L has the followings as a similar terminology.
- SAWH (submerged arc welding with helical seam) pipe : Tubular product having one helical seam produced by the submerged-arc welding process. Some companies are also using "HSAW" (helical submerged arc welding) for their product’s properties.
- COWH (combination welding with helical seam) pipe : Tubular product having one helical seam produced by a combination of gas metal-arc and submerged-arc welding wherein the gas-metal arc weld bead is not completely removed by the submerged-arc welding passes.
API prefers to use “Helical” instead of “Spiral” while ASME prefers to use “Spiral” instead of “Helical” for weld seam type.
마찰용접믄 열원이 전기적인것이 아니기 때문에 EFSW는 잘못 표기된것이 아닐까요.
감사합니다.
