Seawater 를 사용하는 system에 배관 재질을 Super duplex 로 사용하려 하는데 medium 온도나 외기 온도가 일정온도 이상이 넘어가면은 부식이 생겨 사용하지 못하고 titanium을 사용해야 한다고 알고 있습니다.
그런데 어떤 연유로 온도가 올라가면 super duplex 에 부식이 생기는지 궁금합니다.
참고로 아래는 client material philosophy 사항과 저희가 subcontractor로 고용한 Engineering 사의 clarification 사항입니다. Super duplex 의 Seawater 사용 온도제한에 대해서 공방중이네요,

25 Cr SDSS are considered corrosion resistant in sweater and firewater up to 20C .For higher temperature these materials are precluded and Titanium has been specified instead.

C maximum threshold temperature for Super-duplex material is very conservative, This criteria has been based on the ranking results of ASTM G48 where the corrosive media i.e Ferric Chloride (10%) has been used. This solution is much more aggressive than seawater. In practice the behaviour of seawater is less aggressive than this solution and it has been experienced that Super-duplex can be utilised reasonably well in seawater with temperature of up to 45 °
C. It is therefore suggested to consider this limit for utilization of Super-duplex in seawater and firewater systems.
