현장에서 Weldolet 을 사용하여 용접을 하는데, 모재의 두께가 얇아서
열변형이 일어나고 있습니다. (EO/EG Project)
그래서 부득이 weldolet 를 최소한으로 용접을 하여야 하는데, 어느 정도
를 하여야 되는지요.
보통 용접을 꽈악 채우지 못하면 약해보이거든요. 그렇다고 용착량을 많게
해서 용접으로 꽉꽉 채우기도 그렇고요.
그리고 가능하면 CODE 나 SPEC 이 있으면 같이 송부하여 주시면 고맙겠습니다.

1.1 To make up the whole weld edge preparation to avoid undercut violation (e.g., API RP1107 para. 6.6 Undercut).
1.2 To keep the requirement of ASME B31.3, Fig.328.5.4D
* Caution
Basically when you purchase the weldolet, if you specify the pipe size, the bevel angle of weldolet should be same on the all contour. However if they are scale drawings, the right figure shows more than 80 deg (abundant welds expected) while the left bevel is 50 deg.
2. If the deformation is expected during welding due to the thin pipe, the buttering welding is recommended as the following sequence;
[Same method as Hot Tap Welding on thin wall thickness]; materials are assumed P. No. 1 to 8.
(i) to prepare the buttering welding on the set on area of the pipe before the weldolet welding. ; Recommended welding electrode/layers ; ENiCrFe 2 or 3/ min. two layers
(ii) to smoothly grind on the surface of buttering welding. flush on the opening section.
(iii) Weldolet welding with ERNiCrFe 2 or 3
* Caution
(1) all welds: low heat input (current control)
(2) diameter of electrode : max. 1/8"
(3) preheat, min. 200 deg.F
(4) temper bead technique is recommended.
