Yes because A167 is not covering 316 SS any more.

However please confirm if 316 SS is suitable at the design temperature because ASTM A167 is for high temperature.
Alternative materials at high temperature ; 316H, 316Ti, 316Cb, etc.

Stainless steel에 대한 조건 중, ASTM A167, type 316이라고 나와 있는 spec. 조항이 있어서 ASTM A167(2004 ED.)을 찾아봤는데 type 316은 나오질 않아요. 그렇다면 type 316을 ASME에서 말하는 SA240-316으로 봐도 되는 건가요?

ASTM A167 의 Note 1에
Note 1 - Grade that were previously covered in both Specification A167 and A240/A 240M have been removed from this specification and may now be supplied and purchased in compliance with Specification A 240/A 240M. The chemical and mechanical property requirements of these grades were identical in Specifications A 167 and A 240/A 240M
at the time of removal from Specification A 167.
