회사 업무상 카달로그를 제작중에 ASME B16.47의 SER-A와 B에 대한 공차를 찾아보던중 헷갈리는 부분이 있어 질문 올립니다.
기존 카달로그상에 보면 ASME B16.47 SER-A는 MSS SP-44와 동일하다고 나오고, SER-B는 API-605와 동일하다고 나옵니다.
그런데 자료를 찾아 보던 ASME B16.47의 2006ED에 공차가 있어서 MSS와 API와 비교를 해봤는데 공차 규정이 다르게 적용이 되어있습니다.
이런경우 B16.47로 프랜지 작업을 할 경우 어떤 규정을 따라주는게 맞는지 잘 모르겠습니다.
제가 참고한 자료는 ASME B16.48-2006, MSS SP-44-2006, API 605-1998입니다.
The Series A (MSS SP-44 base) or Series B (API 605 base) in ASME B16.47 depends on the requirements of the end-user. Here is an example of the requirements in end-user spec.
; Steel flanges NPS 26 through NPS 60,, up to and including Class 900, shall be specified as conforming to ASME B16.47, Series B (same as API 605), except Series A flanges (same as MSS SP 44) shall be specified, as required, to mate with valve or equipment flanges.
; In the case of ASME B16.47 Series B (API Std 605) flanges, care should be exercised when specifying these for valves or fittings on lines which may require to be pigged, since when used as an integral flange (e.g., on a valve) the smaller diameter of the bolt circle as compared with the other two flange standards may result in a reduced bore valve.
; It should be noted that the bolt circle diameters are different for ASME B16.47 Series B (API Std. 605) versus ASME B16.47 Series A (MSS SP 44) Flanges, particularly NPS 24 and above hence they are not dimensionally compatible.
In addition, please think about the field tie-in condition, such as new flanges per ASME standard flange on the existing flange standards (MSS or API). Absolutely the companion flanges shall have the same standard.
Therefore if you want to make your company catalogue for flange materials, you may have to consider both standards of Series A and Series B.
