A351 Gr CF3M의 Impact Test 수행에 관해서 문의를 드립니다.
해당 재질의 경우에 ASME Sec.VIII Div.1에서는 Impact Test 면제가 가능한 것으로 알고 있는데
고객 요구가 있는 경우에는 실시해야하는 것이 맞는지 궁금합니다.
만약 해야한다면 충격시험 조건(Energy value)은 고객에게 정보를 받아야하는지 또 시편 채취는 어떻게 애야하는지도 궁금합니다.
1. 조건
1) MDMT -29ºC
2) Thickness : 14t
3) MAWP : 2.9 Mpag
4) NDE : PT, RT
2. Spec
1) All materials, including pressure retaining components and attachements welded directly to pressure retaining components and all strutural steel components including equipment supports and holding down bolts, shall have adequate notch toughness to resist brittle fracture initiation at the MDT and shall impact test when design code requires it. Unless more restrictive on other part of this document, the minimum values shall be 21J for each individual sample and 27J for average.
2) Charpy V-notch impact testing is required for all pressure retaining components and welds. Impact tests shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of ASME VIII(or design code), except that there shall be no exemptions from imapct testing and the test temperature shall be the lower of the design minimum metal temperature and 0F(-18C) or MDMT, whichever is less. The test specimens shall be supplied in the same heat treated condition as the new pipe.
위의 좋은 답글에 따라 Client와 상의하면 불필요한 것으로 결론되어 질 것입니다. 그런데 가끔 Client Engineer 가 해당 분야의 비전문가인 경우가 있기에 근거를 요구한다면 ASME Sec. VIII, Div.1, UHA-51(d)(e)(f) 를 제시하면 될 것입니다. 참고로 (아주 더 낮은 온도에서) CVN Impact test를 해야한다면 ASME Sec. VIII, Div.1, UHA-51(a)(b)(c) 에 따르고 평가는 특별한 요구사항이 없는 한 Lateral Expansion [UHA-51(a)(2)] 로 하게 됩니다.
먼저 해당 부재가 Austenitic Stainless Steel이기에 현재 설계 조건에서 Impact Test가 불필요하거나 무의미 함을 명기하고 발주처와 협의하시길 추천합니다.
ASME Standard에서 뭐라고 하던, 발주처가 하라고 하면 해야겠죠.
할 경우의 시험 조건과 합부 기준은 이미 Spec.에 명기되어 있지만, 이 역시 다시 한번 확인할 필요는 있겠습니다.
