13년을 사용한 Jacketed Shell의Weld Seam 부근에서 Crack이 70mm정도 종방향으로 발생 하였습니다. 516-70 S5 재질의 Shell이며 -40도 정도의 무수염산과 Jacket에 140도 정도의 Steam이 들어 갑니다.
무리없이 지금껏 운전되다가 갑작스럽게 Crack이 간 경우 입니다.
원인이 무엇인지 궁금합니다. 혹시 Delayed Crack과 관련이 있는지요??
이 원인에 대해서 설명 부탁드립니다.
참고로 Shell Thickness는 22mm입니다.

2. crack initiation (shell inside?, jacket inside?, shell outside?, jacket outside?)
3. mechanical crack? (e,g., thermal shock-batch operation or low temperature embrittlement), corrosion crack? (e.g., SCC)
4. chemical comoposition in both sides (normal and abnormal)
5. repair history around the cracked area
6. other corrosion or crack symptoms inside and outside
7. recent corrosion rate and expected remained life
8. used WPS
9. PMI on the cracked area
10. start up and shut down method
11. Other specific information

그보다는 갑작스런 균열을 야기할 수 있는 다른 원인을 찾아야 합니다.
Steam에 포함된 Chloride의 양이나, 해당 배관에 가해진 응력의 변화를 찾아서 평가하는 것이 필요합니다.
공정 조건의 변화를 중심으로 원인을 파악해 보세요.
