하드페이싱 관련 공부 중 그것의 용도가 거의 내마모와 관련이라면 마모의 메커니즘에 대한 공부가 선행되어야 하겠기에 이렇게 부탁을 드려봅니다.

Normally the cause of erosion corrosion are the following factors;

1. Major factors

(1) High velocity per materials, surface roughness (Including inside weld bead, gauge guide pipe, instrument/corrosion probe), surface hardness/ How much turbulent flow?/ What is the threshold shear stress on the metal surface?
(2) Geometry effect-curvature for piping and baffles in shell & tube type heat exchangers, tray or packing in chemical towers. Particularly the simulation anlalysis (flow dynamics) for flow regime/pattern in pipeline/piping have been highly developed during last 10years. You can obtain the anticipated stress each part from the simulation.
(3) Particle size/amount/hardness
(4) Cavitation in pumps and piping
(5) Phase profile (L, V, L+V, L+S, L+V+S)
(6) Vibration
(7) Metal Contact on Operating
(8) Special situation per facility function
(9) Local corrosion (e.g., pitting, IGC, SCC) or deposit may be created unexpected turbulent flow.

2. Minor Factors

(1) Operating temperature
(2) Pressure drop
(3) Fatigue cycle
(4) General corrosion environment
(5) Other contamination in service
(6) Surge and pulse
(7) Others

We normally make the final remedy as well as root cause analysis after compiling/evaluation of all anticipated options from mechanical design, flow dynamics, corrosion, welding, metallurgy, process, inspection and maintenance data.
