조건은 Room temperature and Design temperature에서요....
If you apply the above spec sentence, the hot tensile test results should be met 132.93 MPa (@ 426.67 deg.C) x 2.73* = 362.91 MPa as minimum. However the asterisk (* - safety factor) or other acceptance category (**) shall be confirmed by your client.
** Some company engineers interpret the hot tensile test of all materials in their spec to be met ASME Sec. II, Part D, Table U. But this acceptance is very difficult for Cr-Mo steels, especially it may be impossible for heavy wall.
I believe the above spec sentence (with 2.73 or other safety factor) will be adopted in API Cr-Mo standards in the future.
Most mechanical properties in ASME/ASTM Materials Codes are based on the elastic design. It means the mechanical strength values do no cover the creep-rupture or hot tensile test. The mechanical test results at high temperature are absolutely below than the values in ASTM/ASME materials codes.
Allowable Stress 값이 133 Mpa ( 425 deg.C )이네요 ( 아니면, 130 Mpa for 450 deg.C ).
The hot tensile tests are normally required in Cr-Mo steel with heavy wall at high temperature service. The requirements are come from company specifications, not from industry code & standards. Thus the requirements and acceptance categories are different per company.
Here is a sample spec requirement from one of the biggest oil companies.
"Elevated temperature tensile tests shall be performed at the equipment design temperature (DT). Test specimen shall be in the maximum PWHT condition. The acceptance criteria for hot tensile test values shall be no less than 2.73 times the design stress intensity value at DT from Table 2A (for Division 2 Vessel) of ASME Sec.II, Part D."
Recently we had applied it to several Cr-Mo reactors with JSW successfully.
