When things go wrong,
일이 잘못 되고,
As they sometimes will,
때때로 세상만사가 그러려고 하지만,
When the roads you`re trudging seems all uphill,
당신이 무겁게 걸어가는 길이 모두 오르막길이고,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
돈은 없고 빚은 많아,
And you want to smile,
당신은 웃기를 원하지만
But you have to sigh,
한숨질 밖에 없습니다.
When care is pressing you down a bit-
근심걱정이 당신을 짓누를때,
Rest if you must,
쉬어야 한다면 쉬십시오.
But Don`t You Quit!
하지만 그만두지는 마십시오.

Life is strange with its twists and turns,
인생은 우여곡절로 낮설다는 것을
As Every One of us sometimes Learns,
우리모두가 때때로 배우지만
And many a fellow turns about
많은 사람들이 뒤돌아보고,
When he might have won, had he stuck it out.
만약 꾹참았다면 승리했을 지도 모를때,
Don`t give up though the pace seems slow-
진척이 늦다고해서 포기하지 마십시오.
You may succeed with another blow.
또다른 불행과 원만히 나아갈수 있습니다.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
종종 목표는 사람을 약하게 만들고 비틀거리게
하는 것보다 가까이 있습니다.
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor`s cup;
종종 분투하는 사람은 그가 승리의 컵을 움켜쥐는 순간
포기합니다.
And he learned too late when the night came down;
How close he was to the golden crown.
얼마나 가까이 그 황금왕관에 가까이 있었다는 것을
밤이 드리워질때는 너무 늦었음을 배우며,
Success is failure turned inside out-
성공은 실패의 안과 밖이고
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
의심의 구름의 은빛 반짝임
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems a far;
그것이 멀리있을때 그것이 가까이 있을지도 모르며
당신이 거기에 얼마나 가까이 있는지 모릅니다.
So stick to the fight when you`re hardest hit-
It`s when things seem the worst that you mustn`t Quit.
