We had a NACE-Technical Committee Meeting/2005 last week in Calgary, Canada. The remarkable issues were below;

[NACE Standards in Oil Refinery and Petrochemical Plants]
(1) NACE MR0175/MR0103 -will be revised, 2005 or 2006
; Hardness limitation for super duplex stainless steel (max. 32 to 35 BHN)
(2) NACE Technical Committee Report 8X194 (Rev.0-1996) - will be revised, 2005 or 2006 (Rev.1)
; Carbon equivalent formula added.
; Not changed the Categories
(3) NACE RP xxxx -will be newly issued ; Basic Guidelines for Developing Materials Selection Diagrams - 2005 or 2006
(4) The name of "RP" (Recommended Practice) will be changed to "SP" (Standard Recommended Practice). But NACE is going to use "RP/SP" instead of "SP" only for the next one year.

[API Standards in Oil Refinery and Petrochemical Plants]
(1) API RP 934-will be revised; Materials and Fabrication Requirements for 2 1/4Cr-1Mo, enhanced 2 1/4Cr-1Mo, 2 1/4Cr-1Mo-1/4V, 3Cr-1Mo and 3Cr-1Mo-1/4V Steel Heavy Wall Pressure Vessels for High Temperature, High Pressure Hydrogen Service - 2005 or 2006
(2) API RP xxx - will be newly issued ; Materials and Fabrication Requirements for 1 1/4Cr-1/2Mo Steel Heavy Wall (2inch</ thickness </4inch) Pressure Vessels for High Temperature, High Pressure Hydrogen Service - 2005 or 2006
; X-bar factor for base metal and welding metals,
; ISR or DHT is required
