As far as I know, there are no specific guidelines or names for the types.

The saddle type is normally selecting by strength calculation (e.g., longitudinal bending, tangential shear, circumferential bending & compressive stress, vacuum, wind & seismic load, axial/horizontal impact load for transportation, etc.) and/or company standard drawing.
